The top imports of Canada are Cars ($27.2B), Car parts and accessories ($14.5B), Delivery Trucks ($14.2B), Refined Petroleum ($12.5B), and Crude Petroleum ($11.9B).
Canada’s top import partners are the United States ($259B), China ($57.1B), Mexico ($17.4B), Germany ($12.4B), and Japan ($9.62B).
In December 2022, Canada witnessed a significant rise in year-by-year imports:
The increase was mainly attributed to higher imports from the United States (C$2.22 billion or 8.25%), the United Kingdom (C$290 million or 51.2%), and Brazil (C$225 million or 27.6%).
Notably, there was an increase in imports of Refined Petroleum (C$671 million or 41.8%), Delivery Trucks (C$260 million or 17.4%), and Car parts and accessories (C$231 million or 13.8%).

Canada Exports
The top exports of Canada are Crude Petroleum ($81.2B), Cars ($29B), Petroleum Gas ($15B), Gold ($14.3B), and Sawn Wood ($13.3B).
Canada’s top export destinations are the United States ($355B), China ($22.5B), Japan ($11.9B), the United Kingdom ($11.8B), and Mexico ($7.14B).
In December 2022, Canada experienced a significant increase in year-by-year exports.
The rise was primarily driven by higher exports to the United States (C$3.17 billion or 7.84%), China (C$559 million or 26%), and India (C$401 million or 121%).
Notably, there was an increase in exports of Wheat (C$558 million or 119%), Delivery Trucks (C$441 million or 343%), and Car parts and accessories (C$379 million or 35.7%).
